Two things only one of which I runon with here in the Christian tradition to which I was born toss me off throw my mind atwitter and cause me to doubt and want to rally against said tradition as it stands in the human world human world because if I simply let my soul or spirit take in the questioning there is a great deal of interpretive sense but I’m in the human world for the moment here Easter the day of the year we’ve set aside to acknowledge the great Christianness of the spiritual world the day set aside which most completely implores those who can naively follow blindingly listen literalistically ascent and for the rest of us settle and let a day be those of us okay speaking only for myself me sit still and let the doubts fall away and take up the piece of this Jesus puzzle which I can hold and gaze at it once more against the grand panorama of humanity nope not even the love piece that I’m sure you suspected I was getting at for if I can’t grasp the fundamentalist stake of Jesus as son of God then surely the next step is to at least believe in him as love incarnate but no well yes but then to all of us the same dose so no I am not going on about even this love I am leading down this long hallway of a runon to open the door of doubt and expose what lies therein for me when if not son of God and if not love incarnate and yet still a something a someone then what and to what effect in this long history of influence this one has had on this Easter day I contemplate I come to the end of this runon hallway to turn the knob on doubt fling open the door and expose my own iteration the one I am able to hold in my hand and place gently into the panoramic puzzle of life that it is not love or trust or faith or even community or connection or forgiveness for which Jesus holds rank and file on this Easter morning it is for a something he stands yes and while all of these also none of these for me when it comes right down to it and it can be distilled into something I can see and embrace the piece that puts it all into place is hope this Jesus piece of humanity lived the life that showed us the hope that is in and is all of us when we open our eyes to see and listen to our instincts to feel the reality of our one true life as it is his and it is ours and it is everyone
there is nothing of the other pieces the other iterations the other beliefs if there is not first the human holding capacity of hope as proof of a God
even on Easter
