celebrate with me

what I have shaped into this particular

peculiar

kind of life

it’s taken me several lifetimes

this shape

and I don’t think even if

I began again in the very same spot I

could shape it again in quite this same way

so wont you come

celebrate with me what’s been conjured

from these lifetimes in wife mother tender hand held in tougher hand yet

the pinker than pink and bluer than blue of the colors splattered across an apron

that cross the bridges that form the flights from one intemperate group to an entire populous

from one country to another

from one soul to the next

wont you come

celebrate with me

and see what we together can shape of this next

lifetime?
