EncaustiCamp thank you For a decade now you have lived and grown Gestating in my dreams late one night in 2009 you woke me and we began our journey together Thank you for that Thank you for becoming The lives you have touched are innumerable and not just the artists who have attended you It is the sons who have come along The daughters who have assisted The visitors to the center who have stumbled across the beauty being created 2020 will be our last year together I know it will be bittersweet There is too much to give name to to call out all the wonder of our lives together this past decade The growth and maturity the adventure and experience The children you’ve created-ECamp Australia Bali and Italy What a marvel What a week 2020 it is going to be 28 lifers have gotten in on early registration and this fact adding to the filling with new artists coming creates the unique energy and vitality that continues on in the decade-long history you have been Special bits and so many mini workshops will be held creating heaps of inspiration for everyone And of course Dumas Bay Wow We get to be back there on the Puget Sound gazing through windows into the beautiful blue water across bright green grass It is going to be so good I will miss you terribly when the week comes to a close A decade is a long time to hang entwined We have grown together and separate in so many ways and I wouldn’t have any of it different even if I could go back in time and change some moments It all adds up to one amazing whole and I am so grateful EncaustiCamp that you decided to come to me in the night so long ago, and become through me I am what I am in large part thanks to your being
