the cruelty invaded again
what would turn out to be a minor lesson learned
in terms of cost
went on for three hours eating a hole through my spirit
if that’s possible
to disrupt the spirit
my heart anyway
or my head
yet here I am on the other side
expense paid
things back to
well normal
and with great joy
not just relief
I am grateful for that lesson learned
for it gave me this lifting of wings to feel the wind and realize I am still alive
