we don’t need to charm anybody
things don’t need to be prettied they are complete meaningful just as they are
being an artist means that you are continually insisting on
doing something that maybe no one wants you to do
that very possibly isn’t going to work
that is only going to end in defeat and humiliation and that is unlikely to bring worldly rewards or general approval yet
makes one another alive
run in the direction you want to go
the through line is your work
this rich narrative abundance
an archipelago of joys
awes wonders delights pleasures
born of an indefinable faith
let’s leave room for new definitions
more indulgence to imperfections of everything
creating our own is imperative
we learn new languages and scribe new lessons onto parchment
it doesn’t call for notice
it calls for thought
fullness filling new chalices
going on from wherever I am into my next work is all I ever experience
I don’t leave and return I just go on
what else is there to do but give everything one can
get adjacent to whatever you are thinking
go staring for it
