A perennial ache   in search of my place

Realizing this quest is the salve

At home in the in between

The space of not yet and almost

Or here but  not there

The airport waiting lounge

The bus ride south

A single seat on a midnight train

An anonymous hotel room or

A small room in a silent abbey atop a hill

A mound really only

Not even that much  when you come from colorado

This bump  one portion of many that make up the bowl

That is in appalachia

A holler

A hollow

How apropos

An anonymous place that holds

Until it empties out
