there’s an invitation
to slough off the everyday life
the superficiality of skin layer and bathe in the water layer of emptiness
90% we are soothing
we may begin to cry
simplicity is never simple
it is great art
life should never be supposed
the sight of existence stopped at this skin
what comes on canvas often surprises
but I have learned to see it is not what the brush assumes
but what has been missing
the thing that surprises
what’s been sought revealed in the thisness
inexplicable dichotomy
confirmation
standing alone in a simple house
just enough outside
to calm the schizophrenic inside
this is why she did it
I create joy
it shows up
like simplicity
like peace
like trust
not because of or in spite of but
out of
the place it could not be found
