They turned me down
again
I set it up to happen even
told myself it would be a blessing
the way to move forward by releasing this ‘past’
It hurt though rejection even one I set myself up for
I am pretty sure it will act as a catalyst, move me in the direction I am aiming with
more vigor and conviction
but today, it hurts.
We’ll see how it goes when these few lines get published here
by then maybe, a whole new story to tell
