like god or God or spirit or heaven
silly.
these are just words and yet yes
words.
made to tell us what we can often not say with
words.
prayer.
It is not an effort.
This perhaps the proper definition? There is nothing to get excited about.
Walk the dog and visit the vet annual vaccinations
Up the staircase she and I tucked into the big bedroom
windows awash with sunlight late
february.
Hand begins to ache so
task complete sigh to the work done and still
to do.
Down the staircase she and I sun on eyes and sun in hair
yard bricks doorway fence gardens grasses
everything to tend and care
a hand a foot a touch a step
everything closer to the space that is only anything
prayer.
