‘Would you tell me please, which way I ought to go from here?’

roads, good luck

‘That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,’ said the Cat.

‘I don’t much care where-‘ said Alice.

‘Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,’ said the Cat.

‘-so long as I get somewhere,’ Alice added as an explanation.

‘Oh, you’re sure to do that,’ said the Cat, ‘if you only walk long enough.’

roads, signs pointing to eachother

I think all of you reading this know me well enough that when I say I am a planner,

a ‘look ahead and see what we can make of the future’ kind of thinker.

And I can almost feel you all nodding your head in a kind of ‘duh’ agreement when I say…

Since last November I’ve been contemplating my next.

roads

Last November marked the ‘just one year left’ point before John and I finish our commitment down under.

We looked into the future and saw a fuzzy few options available to us

some with road blocks

next blocked

Some with ‘life as usual’

and some that made our hearts sing.

Yet singing, we’ve discovered,

doesn’t come without work one risk and fear and doubt….

next failure

But we went ahead anyway,

chose a path and pursued it,

and now we stand where it will take us.

This path is the one. The right one.

next road

We have chosen.

We will finish down under 6 November.

The car shifts into drive onto our new path 1 December.

roads only one

I look forward to sharing where life takes us.

John and I.

Next.

9 September is from where we jump off; so much glorious more to come!

In love.
