The discovery of a wonderful new mixed media product, Wood icing, led to the development of vines & branches. Pairing this product with Panpastel- a deliciously creamy pot-style dry pastel, brought about deep color and depth in my encaustic work in unexpectedly delightful ways. Born alongside ancient text, the theme of vines & branches is set in the seeking of the beginning of it all, and the place of beginning for us all. |
