The joys of travel~
Oh the joys of travel!
To feel the excitement of sudden departure, not always knowing whither.
Surely you and I are in agreement about that.
How often did my life seem concentrated in that single moment of departure.
To travel far, far-and that first morning’s awakening under a new sky!
And to find oneself in it-no, to discover more of oneself there.
To experience there, too, where one has never been before
one’s own continuity of being and, at the same time, to feel that something in your heart,
somehow indigenous to this new land, is coming to life from the moment of your arrival.
You feel your blood infused with some new intelligence, wondrously nourished by things you had no way of knowing.
What I see Auckland~
Only in this; travel. adventure. risk. reward~
I have no idea; but it’s cool! Rust and worn wood….
yeah, I went there…..always up for a challenging path 🙂 lol…Johnny quit chuckling!
What I got to see for taking the challenging path…
Can you say ‘end of the path?!’ 🙂
Sorry for the blurry; time to upgrade the photo phone 🙂 But it’s RUST!!!
A glorious farmers market I happened upon while out walking…..
My take from said farmers market; I’ll be eating green for awhile! And red…..there’s a Shiraz in that paper bag 🙂
The first meal; after a thrilling hour in the kitchen preparing over a gas stove and clean counter top with sunshine and warm breeze blowing through the window…it’s amazing how great cooking can feel when you haven’t been able to properly for such a long time….
I find myself admiring doors, and entranceways….yes, I read the subconscious message in this! Sigh…
Not a bad place to do laps if I do say so myself!
This one is for John; I found your Monteith’s! Notice the ginger 😉
Beautiful peeling paint….unless of course it’s on your house 😉
gorgeous metal mold…
Card from a beautiful little gallery; run by non-artists! Art lovers! I do adore that~
(they do the quote thing I do in my books 🙂 ) It was an easy fall in love affair….! I’ll be returning regularly
Perhaps I should’ve zoomed in, but I was worried someone would rush out and accuse me of stalking or something! This little guy had a long hibiscus bloom and was ‘painting’ the tree with it 🙂
Love. That’s all. Love…….
Delicious entrance ways….
Okay come on, you have to say that’s funny! It’s a for real delivery service too 🙂
I can’t decide if I like this or am scared of it’s creator! Nonetheless, I find myself imagining it as an EncaustiCamp tshirt…..
Anzac Day Auckland small suburb style <3
drips are always good…
And there are more…but that’s for later.
Auckland; the third Seattle; after Sydney….
and Seattle of course!
