John and I have arrived in Cairns, Queensland. Tropical is truly palpable in this summer in the jungle

I am artist in residence for two weeks in an old Queenslander four bedroom home with studio space should I choose to use it,
but alas, being positioned right on a crocodile infested creek
I’m certain there are crocs in this frame….

a two minute drive to the beaches or esplanade of downtown
across the street from the hugestudio space in which I am being set up to teach two workshops, 
host a presentation,
give a talk
and do a large community painting
and at the foothills of beautiful, tropical mountains,
I am finding too many other places to be that will keep me from staying in the house other than to sleep!
Tomorrow sees the beginning with a great demonstration at the local art shop
then workshops and presentations begin!
