Intimate indulgences in encaustic painting through the expanding vision of all the mixed media possibilities: Foundations in Wax is a retreat experience challenging the basics of encaustic to marry with the immeasurable possibilities in alternative foundations. The exploration of plaster, tar, wood icing, panpastels, batik, henna techniques and base scribing are just the beginning of things explored and examined in this intensive, intimate, all-inclusive retreat experience. Indulgences in traditional encaustic techniques are taught as well so as to ground you and give you your own foundation for painting in beeswax!
